I stood in front of a room filled with 13 women advisors from all across the industry and I had no idea the impact they would have on my life. 13 became 1 in just two days. They laughed (a lot), they cried together, they shared and they became one soul.
These women were from all across the country and ranged in ages from 28 to 60. Some were new advisors others million dollar producers. They were from wirehouses, major broker dealers to RIAs and independent practices. Within the first hour, after some unusual introductions, and an f bomb or two the seal was broken.
Everything became sacred and nothing was held back.
They all had life stories and their confidences were embraced with love, no pity, just acceptance.
There was no judgement or one-upmanship.
They honed their skills, shared ideas and willingly challenged the traditional business model.
They came to the event a bit anxious and unsure and they left fearless, energized and fully committed to embracing their feminine self.
By the end of day two they hated to leave, had developed a texting tree and their phones blew up all weekend following the event.
While these women were from all walks of life they shared one important characteristic, they were committed to investing in themselves and their business.
This is what happens when you create a safe space for women.
When you create an environment where women can be their authentic self, sharing accomplishments and disappointments.
This is when women grow, learn and reach new levels of success. Whether you are speaking to a room filled with women advisors or women clients, women want and need a safe environment where they can build an amazing community that encourages and supports each other on their path to new growth and development.
