Post-Pandemic Will be a Boon for Women Advisors. Are You Ready?

The post-pandemic environment will not be business as usual, it will be better.  Businesses will recover, stock markets will rise but for many advisors what worked in the past will no longer have the same impact.

Anyone who has gone through a serious life event comes out the other side different. Perhaps it’s a new lease on life or a reset of values and principles. There is no doubt that we will all be a little bit different after experiencing this global crisis. This pandemic is forcing changes that would have taken years to instill.

While it is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel now it’s important that we embrace this time as an opportunity to rethink our business, our investment philosophy and our process. How you manage this challenge will determine whether this was a crisis or an opportunity to inspire new growth in your business.

Let’s face it, this pandemic is forcing a well overdue paradigm shift in the financial services industry.  People will be even less tolerant of manipulative or opportunistic approaches to business further opening the door to a more feminine approach to growth and success.

  • Prospecting will be replaced by relationship building strategies emphasizing more personal interactions and communications.
  • Instead of using selling tactics advisors will start to inspire prospects and clients with stories, transparency and their own convictions.
  • Hard closing strategies will fall by the wayside making way for more insightful approaches to motivating investors to take action.

And for a time, investors will require additional care and attention. Forced to push the reset button on their retirement lives, they will be looking for honesty, candor, empathy and understanding all natural qualities of many women advisors.

Anytime a person, a community, a world experiences something that alters the framework of our lives, it forces a new perspective on life, one that is more purposeful.  Understanding your true purpose as a financial advisor will be a core foundation to building new relationships that can weather future market cycles.

Don’t squander this time rather use this event as a catalyst to redesign your business and rethink your life.

Business as usual will not be the same, it will be BETTER.
