Financial Advisors’ Guide to Creating a Compelling Introduction

OK here it is, and it’s yours for the taking.

You have heard me talk about how to create a compelling introductory script that actually inspires further interest.

Now I’m giving you my formula for free along with my step by step process!

In fact, by using the attached worksheet you can begin developing your own unique introductory script that will become the foundation to all of your marketing going forward. This may not be an easy task. You may have to work at it for a while but the end result is SO worth it.

There are three key components to your introductory script and each component can work independently providing you with tremendous ammunition when surrounded by potential prospects.

Or the three components can be used sequentially unveiling a powerful introduction that compels further interest. Today we will focus on the first component, describing your tribal market.

As we begin the process of developing your Compelling Introductory Script, we will take it one step at a time but if one area becomes a challenge move on and come back later. There comes a time when you have over thought the process and you are forcing your mind to perform. Creativity can’t be forced.

Over the next two days I will provide you with the next two components providing samples with the worksheet to create your own compelling message. This is critical if you want to start generating more referrals.

Here’s is an example of what you too can create.

SAMPLE COMPELLING INTRODUCTORY SCRIPT

So Dan what do you do?

I manage passionate wealth.

What do you mean by that?

Most of my clients are successful professionals and passionate outdoor enthusiasts. They have worked hard and saved well and want to take on retirement with a vengeance. They are determined to live an active retirement and want to make sure their money is positioned to support their active lifestyle.

There are a few things to highlight here before we move on.

We ALWAYS start with “Most of my clients….” This is important as it leaves the door open to others. What we don’t want to do is close the door and appear exclusionary.

In the first line, you want to describe who your target market is –“successful professionals and passionate outdoor enthusiasts”. This describes not only their role in life but their hobbies or interests.

The second section is about complimenting your market, “They have worked hard and saved well and want to take on retirement with a vengeance.”

The third section speaks in general terms, what they want or what their challenge is. “They are determined to live an active retirement and want to make sure their money is positioned to support their active lifestyle.”

If you are speaking to your tribal market they will be able to relate to and connect with what you are saying, if you are not speaking to your tribal market odds are they are thinking of someone they know that fits that bill. Either way your message has been heard and received with greater interest than ever before.

In the attached worksheet, I have provided a few other examples but don’t bother copying them because they won’t work at least not for you. This compelling introductory script only works when it has been developed by you based on you and your tribal market.

I wish you the best in crafting your compelling introduction.
