3 Beliefs that Continually Hold Advisors Back

During the month of August, I will be sharing a series of emails on a program that we’ve developed that will allow you to grow your assets, inspire more referrals, create a female friendly practice and dramatically reduce your potential for attrition going forward. And the best part…. you may never have to prospect again.

I know this process works because I used this same process to build my practice and have since taught hundreds of advisors how to generate the same results. If you feel called to join me in my program while I discuss this during the month of August, please feel free to do so. We would love to have you in the next Masters of Women’s Advisory program.

You see I built a successful practice in Newport Beach, California with Smith Barney. As an advisor I focused solely on the women’s market, this was before it was even popular to focus on women.

But to be totally honest with you, I was destined to fail as an advisor. I was a single mom. I didn’t have the twelve hour days and weekends to work. In fact, I could hardly get through a day without being interrupted with family issues.

It was because of my focus on women that allowed me become highly successful.

I was eventually recruited by Smith Barney as a National Training Officer where I spent three years training hundreds of new advisors how to achieve success.

I can say now with total conviction I would never had succeeded if I had not focused on women. Now as an independent coach, I have taught hundreds of advisors how to create a female friendly practice so they too can reap the same benefits, benefits which are even greater today.

But there are three beliefs that continually hold advisors back from truly embracing this proven model.

This is what most advisors are thinking:

  1. If I focus on women I will alienate the men and lose out on all the other prospecting opportunities?
  2. Can men really compete in this market?
  3. If I just keep doing what I’ve always done, my business will keep growing.

Over the next few blog posts I will quickly debunk these myths. Then I will show you an amazing process that will not just help you attract more women to your practice but you will generate more interest, business and referrals from BOTH genders. In fact, this process will infuse a new source of energy into your practice and increase your potential for growth – without ever having to fully prospect!
